I am nowhere near as left as you seem to believe. But the religious hatred many Americans have of whatever they think socialism is and the way they defend the current brand of American capitalism, even though it continues make the rich richer and the poor poorer, is morally craven and idiotic.
It's really not hard to be more morally pure than Republicans anyways; not continuing to vote for the Trump party is among the lowest possible moral bars.
