Salmonella and botulism are in part the reasons of why canned food usually come with a layer of Bisphenol A (aka BPA).

Botulism is rather infrequent but 2 ways I can think of getting it: 1) giving honey to infants, 2) eating food from dented cans.



What does denting do to cans? Increase the pressure?


Looks like it compromises the seals. Cracks too small to see let air in.
